The Barns of Rose Hill
April 19th, 10am - 4pm.
994 Crums Church Road, Berryville, VA 22611.
Directions from Winchester: Go Rt. 7 East toward Berryville, turn left at Crums Church Road (632), go one mile and turn right onto our driveway. A white sign "Fortune Island Pottery" is posted.
There will be someone standing about halfway to the house to lead to the parking area.

April 25 & 26 2008
Old Town Wine and Fine Arts Festival - Downtown Walk Mall, Winchester, VA
A great weekend of food, wine, art and music!
The event will be held on Friday, April 25th from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.
(wine tasting ends at 7 p.m.)
And Saturday, April 26th from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
(wine tasting ends at 5 p.m.)
The Wine & Fine Art Festival will be situated on the Loudoun Street Pedestrian Mall.
The wine tasting and food courts will be split into two areas, the parking lots at the south end near the Discovery Museum (Hable lot) and at the parking lot across from the Daily Grind,(Feltner lot) and the artisans will be spaced out in-between the two areas.

Attendee tickets: $15.00 at the gate, gets the attendee a keepsake Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® wine glass which is used for the tastings.
Non-paying guests and children may accompany adults into the event; but, may not participate in the tastings.

April 26th - May 11th 2008
Art at the Mill - Burwell Morgan Mill - Millwood,VA
The Art at the Mill is a beautiful show which benefits the old mill and a local student scholarship fund.
Pottery, sculpture, paintings and other art pieces will be on sale at this historic location.
Look for my new garden tiles and gold tiled vases!
Directions:
From DC/metro area-
Take 66 west.
Take Exit 23 for VA-55 W/US-17 N toward Paris/Delaplane. Go about 8 miles.
Take a LEFT onto Rt 50. Go about 6 1/2 miles.
Take a RIGHT onto Bishop Meade Rd. (Rt 255). There is a brown Historic Mill sign. Go about 1/2 mile.
At the split at Millwood Rd., take a LEFT. The mill will be on your left about 100 ft.

Blandy Garden Fair
May 9th 4:30pm - May 10th & 11th 9:00am - 4:30pm
Held in May, in conjunction with the Virginia State Arboretum’s annual garden fair,
this is the oldest continually attended craft fair for the Shenandoah Potters Guild.
It is a 3 day event, in the beautiful setting of the State Arboretum,
which is attended by thousands each year.
Pottery for sale focuses on forms designed for garden or plant use;
such as planters, flower pots, vases, bird houses, wind chimes, fruit bowls and serving dishes.
Along with various demonstrations, exhibits and musical entertainment presented by the Arboretum, this is a family friendly craft and garden sale, with over 100 garden related exhibitors, which has a well earned reputation for excellence.

May 17th & 18th 2008
Strasburg Mayfest
Look for me at Mayfest again in May 2008, with yet another commemorative Strasburg pot by the potters of the Shenandoah Potters Guild!
Come early and be the first in line for the 1st and 50th Strasburg pot auction, proceeds benefitting the Strasburg Museum.
Also, make sure to stay and browse through loads of handmade items by the Shenandoah Potters Guild members!


May 24th & 25th
Delaplane Strawberry Festival.
Sky Meadows State Park.
A weekend of family fun, featuring local crafters, children's games, hayrides, live entertainment,
a raffle, an old-fashioned bake sale, antique cars, petting zoo, fresh strawberries, and more.
Events include 5K Run/Walk, Strawberry Pie and Jam Contest, and the first-ever National Strawberry Eating Championship!

Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardener Gardenfest
The Gardenfest be held in the gardens on the historic grounds of Belle Grove Plantation, in Middletown, VA.
(Belle Grove is located on Rt 11, just a couple miles South of the Middletown Exit off I-81).
Saturday, June 7, 2008.. beginning at 8:30am
There will be a miriad of flowers, flowering plants and other garden related items available, as well as pottery and sculpture related to gardens and nature.
The master gardeners will be on hand to give demonstrations of gardening techniques, and to give advice on all your planting needs.
Come out for a beautiful day at Belle Grove

Empty Bowl Supper - Winchester, VA
The Empty Bowl Supper is an annual event sponsored by the Shenandoah Potters Guild to benefit the Shelter for Abused Women in Winchester. Guild members donate over 300 individually handcrafted, decorated and glazed bowls of various sizes and designs.
Ticket purchasers select a bowl of their choice, enjoy a delicious soup oriented dinner using that bowl, and keep the bowl as a reminder of the event. The Empty Bowl Supper has proven to be a successful fund raiser for the Shelter for Abused Women, as well as a rewarding community project for Guild members.

This is a wonderful fundraiser event for the entire family! Bring your children for a great family experience.
Each ticket holder is invited to select from of hundreds of handmade bowls donated by local artisans, in which to have their soup kitchen style dinner.
Proceeds benefit the Shenandoah Alliance for Shelter.
